Machining of parts using tools below 1 mm (0.0393 in) diameter, is called Micro-Machining.
To assure maximum cutting and chip removal conditions DIXI uses for the micro-tools a micrograine carbide size from < 0.5 µm to 1 µm.
(0.0000196 in to 0.0000393 in).
To guarantee good chip removal in micro-drilling/milling. DIXI tooling is manufactured with a surface finish of Ra 0.05 mm in the flute and Ra 0.015 mm on the cutting edges.

CARBIDE SLITTING SAWS

To guarantee the maximum precision repeatability while machining features with slitting saws, the blade thickness as well as Axial Radial run outs must be kept within a very stringent tolerance.
